What is a CNC milling?
CNC milling is a manufacturing process that utilizes a computer numerical control system to control a milling machine for machining. In CNC milling, the workpiece is usually fixed on the workbench, while the cutting tool is controlled by a computer program to move along the X, Y, and Z axes to cut and remove material from the workpiece, thereby forming the desired shape or feature.
During the milling process, the cutting tool is usually a rotating tool fixed on the spindle, which can move in different directions according to the instructions of the CNC program, accurately removing materials from the workpiece. What is a CNC Turning?
CNC Turning is a manufacturing process that utilizes a computer numerical control system to control a lathe for automated machining. In CNC Turning, the workpiece is usually clamped on a rotating workpiece gripper, while the cutting tool is installed on a moving tool holder.During the machining process, the workpiece rotates on the workpiece gripper, while the cutting tool moves horizontally and vertically to remove material from the workpiece, thus forming the desired shape and features. By controlling the movement of the tool holder through CNC programs, various shapes and contours can be machined, including outer circles, inner circles, cylinders, conical surfaces, etc.CNC Turning is commonly used for machining cylindrical or rotationally symmetric parts, such as shafts, bearings, threads, etc. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, precision, and good repeatability, which can meet the processing needs of various precision parts.
